going on the whale watch falls under one-of-the-worst-things-i've-ever done!!! category, u know like going to bls. its soooooo COLD!!! n the stupid whale ppl wouldnt go back to land!! they were enjoying themselves since this was da last trip of the season. they wont b going out to sea again until next may. everyone got bored after like the 5th whale we saw, n all went to sleep on the bottom deck. so funny. the only person who didnt sleep was like aileen, but we all know she's crazy : ) got home 6-ish cause we were majorly behind on schedule. didnt even get to eat lunch >.< CAUSE THE STUPID CREW WOULDNT GO BACK TO LAND!!! SO WE WERE STUCK OUT @ SEA FOR LIKE 4 1/2 HOURS!!!

i'm thinking bout adding more colleges to my list since everyone else have so many ivy/high lvl colleges >.< i cant believe i actually took people's advice and only applied to like really crappy colleges. now my mom is making fun of me bout how i trust my friends n how they backstab me -.-" see this is y i'm always so mean(quoth anusha). because my parents tell me that everyone is against me. y would they help me?? we are all competing for the same things. so every chance they get, my "friends want" to sabotage me. and you know what, i'm starting to believe them.

i was suppose to go n play cricket w/ desi today...but they all ditched me!! i told anusha i was going to my locker n when i came back down everyone already left!! >.< o wellz watever more time for me to do hw ^0^ i actually did finish all my hw today, so proud. then anusha called me from norman's phone (lol xtine was all excited 4 nothing) then she came n xiumin n norman followed. norman wanted to buy carrie a cake since none of us bought her any present -.-" (i swear i'm getting u a nice xmas gift!). anyways, so yeah he wanted someone to buy the cake w/ him. n xtine was totally mouthing GO,GO!! n mentally pushing me forward...but i was like err....no.... so xiumin ended up going. of course that was not part of my plan -.-" norman ended up stealing plates from mass art n forks+napkins from the pizza place. lol. went to "surprise" carrie but we had to wait like half an hour since her lesson dragged out so long. eventually started walking to northeastern...it was raining!!! i was gonna let xtine borrow my umbralla but it wouldnt open! so i let her have the good one. carrie n sushi had hoods on, n norman n xiumen shared an umberalla. we were walking behind everone else cause xtine was walking so slow. keril came to robotics today n joined in on da cake eating. me n xtine went in search of starbucks when this guy infront of us just started talking to us O_O it was really creepy that i couldnt even look at him. of course xtine was enjoying it the whole time. we came back down stairs all cracking up, n of course only the all-knowing-keril knew wat we were laughing bout. everybody left me!! again -.-". they all took anusha's ride n left me w/ him carrie's like today's goal is for you to get socialized! n then she just pushed me towards him.....n stole his calc book!!again lol. on the way home norman was telling the *real* version of what happened today @ lunch...hmm...i hope no war will break out.

grr...everybody stayed home today, no one was even @ the breakfast table. u evil bums -.-" i wanted to leave rite after school today but realized that i didnt have my cellphone with me after i literally turned my bag upside down. so i had to stay around school until 4. couldnt wait that long since no one else was in school (norman+xiumin doesnt count! u have no idea how hard i had to try to tune out their happy voices). couldnt hold out til 4 so i left @ 3:45. wanted to get a drink @ mass art but the stupid door was locked, so had to walk around. but when i finally walked in i saw winette+jamie @ da machines too, since i already said bye to them twice (in library n locker), i had to avoid saying bye a third time -.-"". so i ended up on the bus w/o any soda. got to forest hills @ 4:15. i was hoping that maybe just maybe that i'll get lucky n my dad will actually remember once n come n pick me up...cause i always tells him pick me up @ forest hills everyday unless i call n tell u not to but he always hears dont pick me up unless i tell you to. then of course i'm not lucky, y does yang get to b lucky? u know that'll b totally against the rules of logica. so yup i waited until 5 o'clock. i think it was when that i couldnt feel my face anymore that i realized that no one was comming. no matter how long i wait, no one will come to get me (story of my life -.-"). so i was like hmm...lets take a chance, i mean the worst thing that can happen to me is that i get lost. and what do you know....but b4 that i was debating btw taking a cab or bus. of course the bus cost less..but i got lost!! ^_^ i'm so smart arnt i. i took me an hour of walking in the cold to finally find my house. its soo creepy!! cause all da houses still had their halloween decorations....but kinda wacked cause of the rain. n the more i walked down neoponset st. the darker the street got, n the houses were more far apart, n eventually there were no more houses n the paved street became dirt road. pretty soon i was walking in a forest-ish place, even jay chou's voice couldnt cheer me up. i finally got home around 6:30, n the first thing my dad did after he opened the door was yell at me -.-" he's like how can u b so irresponsible!! do you think its fun to scare us like that??!! if u think u can use the sharon trick(somehow kill u're self to threaten u're parents) on us!! u know wat it wouldnt work, cause we dont give a .....i tuned out the rest. then my mom handed me this clipping from a chinese newspaper bout a letter a father wrote to his son in college, she's like i should read it to improve my chinese...first line -> Son, you broke my heart...then it eases into other lovely things chinese parents talk bout. of course this piece of literature is an indirect reference to me. my mom is slyly pointing out all the things i did to "break her heart" -.-" grr!! she's so sneaky!! why does she have to be an english teacher!! y did i have to be manderian??!!
and you know wat the best part is.... I HAVE SATs TOMORROW
o yeah i have interview w/ wellesley on 13th (so no red cross) n @ smith on da 11th...when does robotics end??

anyways...been really busy last couple of days...my dad got pissed @ me last friday cause i didnt get to forest hills till 4:45...cause my mom's car got "bitten" by another car... so my parents are pissed @ each other but they cant yell @ each other so they just end up yelling @ me. went to wellesley on saturday. couldnt find the parking lot/admission's office so kept circling round n round, we were *almost* late. its so freakin cold!!! my mom made me wear a dress cause it was "professional"..i wanted to wear pants but no!! i had to freeze in da cold while walking around trying to find da admission office -.-" i think i did well on da interview, cause the lady kept saying like "wow wellesley is like perfect for you, everything you want we have here"..n after the interview she was like here is a catalog of all da courses we offer here, and the financial aid package, have a good year and we'll see you soon. err...maybe they wont see my grades?? lol i'm hoping too much arnt i? but yeah...i really reallyreally wanna go to WELLESLEY!! i think i can actually spell it rite now cause i've been thinking about it soo much... ^_^

Nov. 16, 2004 -- President Bush announced today he has nominated Condoleezza Rice, his national security adviser and one of his closest counselors, to replace Colin Powell as secretary of state.

"The secretary of state is America's face to the world and in Dr. Rice the world will see the strength, grace and decency of our country," Bush said in a brief ceremony at the White House, with Rice at his side.

"During the last four years I've relied on her counsel, benefited from her great experience and appreciated her sound and steady judgment. And now I'm honored that she's agreed to serve in my Cabinet," Bush said.

Powell, a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and national security adviser, was the most popular and respected figure with the public in the Bush administration, but he had reportedly clashed with other members of the president's team regarding the war in Iraq.

Bush thanked Powell for his service, and called him "one of the most effective and admired diplomats in America's history."

"Secretary Powell has helped to rally the world in a global war," Bush said. "He's helped to revolve dangerous regional conflicts. He's helped to confront the desperate challenges of hunger, poverty and disease. He has been tireless and selfless and principled, and our entire nation is grateful for his lifetime of service."

Rice, too, had high praise for Powell.

"It is humbling to imagine succeeding my dear friend and mentor Colin Powell," Rice said. "He is one of the finest public servants our nation has ever produced. Colin Powell has been a great and inspirational secretary of state. It was my honor to serve alongside him, and he will be missed."

The president also announced deputy national security adviser Stephen Hadley would succeed Rice as national security adviser.

If Rice's appointment is confirmed by the Senate, she will take over the job of international diplomat during a war that has divided the nation and the world.

Rice has loyally defended the Bush administration's track record on the military campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as its handling of intelligence before the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Testifying under oath before the 9/11 Commission, Rice maintained there was no "silver bullet" that could have prevented the worst terrorist attacks on U.S. soil.
